Abundance Is Your Birthright

For about the past six months, the word abundance has been showing up in my life.

I would see it in magazines and books, hear it in podcast episodes, and even some of my teachers were using the word. I was aware it was around me, but I hadn’t really focused on it until recently. And once I did, it was like the universe was thanking me.

Almost instantly, Kathrin Zenkina of Manifestation Babe (a master of manifesting an abundant life) was in my Instagram feed and I attended her free masterclass series. And just like that, my understanding and beliefs around abundance completely shifted.

With that being said, I’ve been thinking about abundance a lot, journaling on it, talking to friends about it, and meditating on it. Through my personal practice and Kathrin ’s teachings, I ultimately realized one thing: I held (and am still working through) limiting beliefs about abundance. Believe me when I tell you it's been a really really illuminating journey, and writing this blog post has also been a part of it.

In this post, I describe what abundance is, how abundance is your birthright, the different kinds of abundance, 4 practical ways to cultivate abundance, and some journaling prompts you may find useful in digging deeper into your own relationship with abundance. This post ended up being less of a personal share and more of an informational post, in the hopes that you too, can begin to shift your understanding and beliefs around abundance.

What is Abundance?

To start, let’s get clear on what abundance actually is.

Abundance, by definition, is a state of overflow. It is having a large quantity of something, typically more than what you need.

While the word abundance is often used in reference to money, abundance is when there is more than enough, in any or every area of our lives.

In fact, abundance surrounds us constantly each and every day in nature. For example, consider one of my favorite things, a tree. If you were standing before a Pine Tree right now, would you be able to count the total number of pine needles? How about the number of leaves on an Oak Tree, or the total number of blades of grass in a field?

Abundance constantly surrounds us, we just need to know where to look.

Abundance is Your Birthright

In fact, what if I told you that you don’t have to look very far, because YOU are abundance in physical form?

If you’re wondering how, bear with me as we go on a little science journey to examine the composition of our physical bodies.

While we all only have 1 physical body, there is so much (or so little) that it is made up of.

Within our 1 body, there are 11 major organ systems, 78 major organs, a whole lot of tissue, and an estimated 30 to 40 trillion cells. If we go even further, each cell is made up of some number of atoms and each one of those atoms are then made up of protons, neutrons, and electrons. And if we go even even further, each one of those particles are made up of something called quarks.

While quantum physics has not been able to identify much more beyond quarks, I'm sure you're starting to get the picture. There is an abundance of "stuff" that makes up our bodies. So much that we couldn't count it all, even if we tried.

But what is even more interesting, is the amount of empty space that exists between each one of these particles.

In fact, quantum physicists have found that if we removed all the space that exists between the nucleus and electrons in every atom in our bodies, our entire body would be able to fit into a single particle of dust. A SINGLE PARTICLE OF DUST. Can you believe it?!

We are simultaneously made up of an abundance of particles and an abundance of space. Meaning, we are literally MADE of abundance.

And by definition, a birthright is a particular right or privilege that one has from birth.

And since we are born in, of, and from abundance, abundance is our birthright.

When we can begin to see ourselves as abundance in physical form and tune into the abundance naturally found in nature, we are reminded that it is only the 3D world that creates the illusion of scarcity and "not enough".

However, we do live in this 3D world, so it is up to us to manifest abundance into this reality in both material and non-material forms.

Material (Physical) Abundance

Material, or physical abundance, is the overflow of material items such as money, clothes, property, food, etc. I almost didn't want to use the word material here because it is often associated with being materialistic, but desiring an abundance of material items is very natural and important for us to desire.

For example, let’s say I want to manifest an abundance of health- an overflow of health.

If I close my eyes and picture what that looks like, I can see myself eating fresh organic food at every meal, drinking water free from toxins and metals, moving at least once per day, spending a lot of time outside, and feeling joyful and happy.

Yet in order to have all of those things, a certain level of financial abundance is required. I would need to buy organic foods, own a high quality water filter, rent or own a home in a place that makes me feel safe, and have a schedule that allows me a lot of time outside.

My point is, our basic needs are met by material conditions. And in viewing it in this way, we can begin to normalize desiring money and material items without feeling guilt, negativity, or shame.

Non-Material Abundance

On the other hand, non-material abundance is having an overflow of non-material things, such as love, relationships, energy, gratitude, self-care, spirituality, trust, happiness, joy, intimacy, self-esteem, etc.

While abundance is usually associated with physical things, non-material abundance is just as important in our lives.

For example, what if we worked hard to manifest an abundance of money, but never experienced an abundance of love? What kind of life would that be?

When manifesting abundance, it is critical to consider non-material things as well as material things, because without them, we would not be meeting all of our needs and would be missing out on all of the joys of being human.

4 Ways to Create Abundance in Your Life

  1. Apply the Law of Attraction

According to the Law of Attraction, anything you desire is possible as long as you take action in the direction of your dreams. In fact, the Law of Attraction gives us the hard realization that whatever is occurring in our lives is actually created by us- by our thoughts, actions, words, etc. So, when seeking to manifest abundance in any area of your life, take stock of your thoughts, actions, and words to determine if they are in alignment with what it is that you desire.

  1. Apply the Law of Polarity

According to the Law of Polarity, there is a duality to everything in our lives. So while things in our lives appear opposite or separate, they are in fact, parts of the same thing. There is no light without darkness, there is no potential of love without being alone, and financial success is inseparable from financial lack. Therefore, when manifesting abundance, write down what you want to manifest, and then also write down its opposite. Start to observe which side of the same coin you are attracting into your life.

  1. Identify Your Beliefs

In order to manifest abundance, it is important to identify your relationship with that of which you desire. For example, have you ever heard the saying, “Money is the root of all evil” ? If you believe this, how will it be possible to manifest an abundance of money in your life? We have to examine our views about having an abundance of that which we desire in order to rewrite our beliefs so we can become magnets and attract all that we want.

  1. Have Gratitude

As you identify and take action to cultivate abundance, it is critically important that you have gratitude for all of the abundance that is currently in your life. Tapping into gratitude will keep you grounded in knowing that you are abundance, that you are surrounded by abundance, and therefore have abundance- keeping your mind away from lack and scarcity consciousness.

Abundance Journaling Prompts

  1. What is it that you would like an abundance of in your life?

  2. How can you take one action towards creating abundance in that area of your life?

  3. What is the opposite of what you would like an abundance of? Which are you attracting more of? Why do you think that is?

  4. Examine how you feel about others who have an abundance of what you want. How do you view them? What are your thoughts about them? How do you speak about them? How do you treat them?

  5. Where in your life are you already abundant? How can you show more gratitude for those things?

This was a long one, but I hope this post brought you some insight and understanding about abundance and that you have found one thing you can do every day to attract what it is that you desire.

From the bottom of my heart, it is my sincere wish that all of your desires manifest in abundance and that you are reminded each and every day that you are pure abundance in physical form!

I'd love to hear your thoughts, so please feel free to comment below or send me a message!

From my heart to yours,

Stephanie
